Before applying sealer to the ground, we always start by edgding the grass off of the existing asphalt.  After that, we blow and sweep the lot so it is free of any grass, dust, or debris.  Having a clean canvas to work on is extremely important to ensure that the sealer can bond to the asphalt.  Once the sealer is applied (either by brush or spray), we ask that customers stay off of the lot for 12-24 hours, the longer the better.  Drying-time is dependent on many factors such as humidity, temperature, and sun-exposure.  Our sealer can dry in as little as 4-6 hours in direct sunlight.  In special cases, we can also add additives to our sealer to speed up drying time.  This is more typical on an overnight commercial lot that needs to be dry by morning.
